Nilgiri Wiki's goal is to provide information that will enhance players' enjoyment of the DikuMUD Nilgiri. Nilgiri Wiki recognizes the gods (developers and administrators') role in safeguarding said enjoyment. Nilgiri Wiki thus respects the desires of the gods with regards to what information about the MUD will be made available on Nilgiri Wiki.

The line between "useful information" and "spoiler" is sometimes very fine. As Nilgiri Wiki matures, editors will have a better idea of what the players desire and will try to provide content in accordance with the in-game community's needs. However, use of Nilgiri Wiki content is the choice of the player and it is ultimately his or her responsibility to exercise control over what information he or she chooses to view.

[edit] General policy

There are very few policies which apply across all Wikia. These can be found on the Central Wikia at Wikia:Category:Policy.

Other policies for this Wikia should be decided by the wiki community. It's generally best to keep policies as simple as possible, and not to introduce too many rules. A growing wiki can usually do well with a few simple policies and a lot of goodwill and cooperation.

Adding [[Category:Policy]] to any policy pages will add them to the policy category. This is found here.
